ABOUT THE MARKET
Huntsville, Alabama
May 14-15, 2008
The Huntsville/Madison County manufacturing base is a diverse mix of traditional and technology. Huntsville/Madison County is home to the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center and the U.S. Army’s Redstone Arsenal, both combining to drive a strong research and development economy and affecting spin-off and commercial activities. Nearly every major U.S. aerospace corporation has a facility there. Huntsville also plays a key role in the U.S. Army’s technology development programs. More than 300 international and domestic corporations in Huntsville/Madison County are involved in the design and production of electronics and computer-related technology.
Huntsville ’07 successfully brought contract manufacturers together with hundreds of quality OEM buyers and engineers who were looking for new suppliers. Here is what exhibitors had to say about their experience:
“ Fantastic show for me. This is the first time I’ve done a show in Huntsville and I’m very impressed with who’s been stopping by my booth.”
- Randy Fox, Argo Spring, www.argospring.com
“Thank you for a great experience in the Huntsville show. We were able to generate several solid leads from both attendees and exhibitors. Again, thank you for a job well done.”
- Mike Westbrook, Telco Solutions III, www.telco1.com
“We had some great opportunities to quote the first morning of the show. The next day, we were asked to quote on all sorts of parts.”
- Craig Butler, Assembly Fasteners, www.afi.cc
“ Exhibiting at the show is already starting to pay off. We’ve closed a couple new sales and have several more that look favorable.” - Mike Byrum, Hydro Aluminum N.A., www.hydro.com
“Attendees came with a purpose. This was a great show.”
